after getting KO’d ITM in daily 80k i took a short break from the computer, came back to it 10 minutes before the first event, then all hell broke loose. the broadband just wouldnt connect. i tried, connect/disconnect, and connect again. turn pc on and off, pull the cable out, uninstall, install, and low and behold, after 2 hours of trying, i gave up and wasted $450, and went to bed!

this just means i’m playing this event tonight!

Sorry to hear that Shaun, who is your broadband with??? I had endless trouble with TalkTalk, but managed to buy some new LAN cables that helped somewhat sort out their connection issues. Turned out the reason was that in the evening they turn up the speed output on the line so it was overloading the capacity of the cables i was using, so would disconnect every 10 mins or so!!! Does it happen to you at specific times or all the time?

i’m with 3 broadband.
20 euro a month.
its 3G network.
i can get signal, there’s no problem there, its the connection to their server.
i dont know if it is because im a very heavy user on their network or what, but iver never gone over their max bandwidth – ever!

i think they are turning their servers off for a short while in the middle of the night, and this means to me, that i have trouble connecting again.
i’m going to complain to them, very strongly…

i know werner, but for the type of small computer i have got, it is perfect for it.
the moment i upgrade my computer, is the moment i upgrade the broadband.

then when i do, i’ll be back play FTP – hopefully, but i dont really mind it not much.
