How do I set up and use a Credit Account?

NOTE: You can no longer create new Credit Accounts. Credit Accounts will be sunset during 2009 in favor of purchases using 'ChipMeUp $'

A credit account is the easiest and quickest way to buy shares in a poker player. ChipMeUp's unique Credit Account method allows a buyer of poker shares to transfer money to a person he wants to buy shares from. He can transfer any amount, in effect setting up a tab with this player. Then when you want to buy a share you can simply use your credit account to buy shares. The price of the share will be deducted from your credit account, with winnings being paid back into your credit account. When you want your money simply request a withdrawal from the player.

To access the My Credit Accounts menu, click on it on the left hand side menu.

  1. Buyer : Requests Credit Account from Seller
  2. Seller : Receives Credit Account Request and Approves it
  3. Buyer : Deposits money with the Seller

  5. Buyer : Has now got money in account and can buy shares

Note: The actual transfer of money will have to be organised by the Buyer and Seller and be done via a poker site transfer or Neteller/MoneyBookers/Pay Pal. ChipMeUp just helps the Buyer and Seller track the balance.

To withdraw money click on the withdraw button, and transaction history can also be viewed from this page.

Note: You need to set up an individual credit account with each seller as each account is separate. A credit account only works in one direction, so if the buyer becomes the seller in another event, a new credit account will be need to set up between the same two parties. This is simple to do, just follow the above steps.
