Congratulations to Resteal on winning the USD 12,500 package that includes entry to the 2009 Aussie Millions Main Event, accommodation at the Crown Promenade Hotel, USD 2,500 cash for travel and invites to the Team PokerNews Welcome dinner and Team outing.
All shareholders in this event have won their piece by entering the ChipMeUp Aussie Millions qualifier. Good luck to Resteal, and let's hope he can get to the final table in the big one. |

Admin, can you please fix the fact that I should have 8 shares as it is only showing that I have 7 at the moment. Thanks! |

Thanks guys. I'm on the dinner break now. I have 26k in chips. I was up to over 40k but lost a race with AKs vs TT against a short stack.
I've got a fairly loose table (Gus Hansen is two to my left) so haven't been able to get away with much and have been card dead since the first level. Hopefully I can make some hands as I'm pretty sure I'll get paid off if I do. I'll pop on here at the end of the day to give an update. |

Had a bad last two levels and I'm down to just over 13k. I'm not too annoyed as I hardly hit a flop after the first level and only got one pair TT+ all day so I'm satisfied to still be alive. Still in with a fighting chance as the structure is so good but I'll need to play fast tomorrow.

Dinner break now on Day 2 and I've got 27,000 chips. Another roller coaster day. I was up to 60k until the last level then got unlucky in a pot and lost some more chips after a squeeze play didn't pan out.

Currently sitting on about 60k.
Sitting on a table with Scotty Nguyen, Steve Sung and Chufty. Tough job, but still doing well. |

lol! Finished play with about 95k after finally catching a couple of hands after the dinner break. Average must be over 150k but there's still plenty of play left as blinds start at 1200/2400 tomorrow. 86 left and 64 pay.
Played with Nhan Le for a while today who is probably the toughest player I've played against and Scotty Nguyen who was surprisingly super tight. |

1st hand of the day I got KK and raised in EP2, Scotty Nguyen flat called off 10% of his stack with 77 with 5 players to act behind him... Flop came Q76 rainbow and we got it in on the 9 turn. Nb. My raise was 7k not 5.2k as reported on Pokernews. It's annoying they got it wrong because it wouldn't have been such a bad call if I'd only raised 5.2k.
Next hand I raised to 8k of my 23k utg with 54s to pick up the 6.8k in blinds and antes figuring a shove would look tilty and a pot committing raise would look stronger (obv I'm not folding to any action). It's folded around so I'm up to just shy of 30k. Very next hand i'm in bb and the cutoff raised. I find AQs and shove for just under 30k (not 20.6k as reported on Pokernews) and he was committed to call with KTo. K shows up on the river to finish me off. |

Set mining odds? The guys called off 10% of his stack preflop... He'd need to stack me almost every time for to be getting the implied odds for that to be a profitable call if he is playing it for set value. Not to mention the fact that there's 5 players to act behind him, three of which were short stacked who could easily have squeezed.
I check-shoved the turn after he bet 11k with just over 40k back on a Q769 board. If I flat call then there's 57k in the pot giving him a perfect shove on the river. No way I'm flatting there and giving him a free chance to outdraw when I'd have to pay off the river regardless. Also, if he has a hand like AQ, he's almost certainly gonna feel committed to calling a shove after committing nearly half his stack on such a favourable board. Basically, if I slow down on the turn then he's still gonna double up off me when he's ahead, but when I'm ahead I'd be letting him off cheap. |
