2009 Aussie Millions Qualifer - Main Event

ChipMeUp and PokerNews are happy to announce an Aussie Millions qualifier for the Main Event in January 2009.

Buy-in: $100+10
Date: Tuesday, 6th Jan, 2009 at 20:00 GMT.
Where: 888 Poker
Tournament ID: 22012130

Prize Package: $12,500 guaranteed. Multiple packages can be awarded, for every $12,500 in the prizepool. Any remaining cash amount will be distributed to the finishers as per 888/Pacific Poker’s standard payout structure.

The winner shall receive a USD 12,500 package that includes entry to the 2009 Aussie Millions Main Event, accommodation at the Crown Promenade Hotel, USD 2,500 cash for travel and invites to the Team PokerNews Welcome dinner and Team outing. The winner agrees to claim no more than 50% of any winnings in any event that this package avails his/her entry to.

The top finishers will be required to exchange contact information with themselves and PokerNews and agree to enter into this agreement in good faith, with every intention of upholding the terms as outlined. Failure to do so will results in blacklisting from ChipMeUp, together with significant bad press from PokerNews and associated websites.

Players finishing second through 18 shall receive a percentage of the winner’s entry to the main event and any additional event that this package avails entry to. The percentage breakdown is as follows:

1. 50%
2. 12%
3. 8%
4. 6%
5. 5%
6. 4%
7. 3%
8. 2%
9. 1%
10. 1%
11. 1%
12. 1%
13. 1%
14. 1%
15. 1%
16. 1%
17. 1%
18. 1%

Should a player win the satellite and cannot make full use of their package (including accommodation, main event entry etc), the package will be awarded to second place (or the next eligible player). Should this occur, the percentage breakdown for the finishers will adjust accordingly.

The prize package is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. PokerNews/888 Poker’s management's decision is final and not liable to legal action of any kind.

Should the satellite winner cash in the main event, it is their responsibility to seek out and pay those players owed. PokerNews can assist in facilitating this payout.

The winning player is required to wear Full Tilt Poker, PokerNews and ChipMeUp branded clothing at all times, whilst competing. These will be provided free of charge.

This is open to players who have signed up to 888 Poker via PokerNews/ChipMeUp. If you have signed up elsewhere, please send your 888 Poker username to PR[at]PokerNews.com at least two calendar days prior (January 3, 23:59 GMT) to the start of this tournament.

Please ensure you read the terms & conditions for this promotion.

Download the 888/Pacific software now and also receive a deposit bonus (100% up to $400).

Can somebody reply regarding the $1k that was said would be added. It clearly said on the PokerNews.com home page and another page that there would be $1k cash added to the satellite prizepool. Thanks!

DaMatrix (09 Jan 2009 12:51 UTC)
Share of the $1k received. Many thanks. Still only showing 7% share instead of 8% share though. DM.
